Hygiene Protocol
At Mia’s Magic, safety and hygiene are our top priorities. We exclusively use skin-friendly, professional products that comply with European cosmetic regulations. This protocol applies to all of our services: face painting, glitter bar, belly painting, and workshops.
1. Materials and Products
-
We only use cosmetic-grade face paint and glitter that are safe for use on the skin.
-
Acrylic paint or non-cosmetic products are never used.
-
Brushes, sponges, and other tools are thoroughly cleaned after each use with water and a skin-safe cleaning solution.
-
Sponges are personal per child/client and are kept separately for cleaning after use.
2. Personal Hygiene
-
The artist washes and/or sanitizes hands before and after each client.
-
Long hair is tied back, and jewelry that could interfere is removed.
-
A clean and tidy setup is maintained at all times: table, chairs, and materials are hygienically arranged.
3. During Face Painting
-
Clean brushes and sponges are used for each client.
-
If a child appears unwell (skin rash, fever, open wounds, eczema, or contagious illnesses), they cannot be painted.
-
For lips and eyes, separate brushes or disposable applicators are always used.
4. After Each Event
-
All tools and materials are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each party or event.
-
Tables and chairs are wiped down with a cleaning cloth or disinfectant.
-
Towels and cloths are washed at a minimum of 60°C (140°F).
5. Safety and Communication
-
Parents and clients are informed beforehand that only skin-safe, cosmetic products are used.
-
Clients are advised to remove face paint within 8 hours using lukewarm water and mild soap or baby wipes.
-
In case of sensitivity or allergic reaction, face paint will be removed immediately.
