About Me
My name is Valinda, and if you'd told me 10 years ago that this would be my career, I wouldn’t have believed it. After high school, I pursued plant sciences at Wageningen University and earned my MSc. I spent several years conducting research, but everything changed after the birth of my daughter, Mia. That pivotal moment led me to completely shift my path and embark on a new journey.

In 2018, I embarked on a self-employed journey to better balance parenthood and work. I launched a webshop selling handmade products, and by 2020, it had grown into a near full-time venture. However, as both my life and the economy evolved, I eventually closed the webshop. Seeking a new creative outlet, I began face painting with my daughter. I quickly found I enjoyed it more than I expected, and after completing several workshops and courses, I decided to pursue it as my new passion. Today, I run a thriving face painting and glitter business, where I cherish every event and the opportunity to brighten faces. We bring our colorful creativity to parties, festivals, and fairs, spreading happiness while doing something incredibly fun.

Working with Niquita

At larger events or whenever extra hands are needed, I love teaming up with Niquita. We've known each other for over five years. What started as a friendship has grown into a wonderful collaboration. I began face painting first, and when it sparked her interest too, I taught her everything I knew.
The combination of her vibrant energy (ADHD) and my sense of structure (autism) makes us a great match. Niquita is now an experienced face and glitter artist. Occasionally, she brings along her teenage daughter to help with glitter tattoos at especially busy events.
As a mom of three, two special needs, face painting gives her a rare moment of calm. It's a way to unwind, be creative, and bring joy to children – something she truly loves. And that passion shines through in her work.
